| This organically shaped liana wood sculpture is decorated with sterling silver Chinese dragon. The dragon occupies a very important position in Chinese mythology. Its sinuous body encircling the table lining in a fluid movement makes it a unique and exotic piece. Set on black granite base. As a totem, Dragons traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, typhoons, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck for people who are worthy of it in East Asian culture. The Dragon is also the fifth of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals. The Year of the Dragon is associated with the Earthly Branch symbol 辰, pronounced chen. Liana is a jungle vine, notable for its organic twisting form, found in the tropical and temperate climate in the Mountains of Brazil. Each section of the vine is selected for its aesthetic and functional qualities, before being dried, hollowed out and treated. Liana is widely popular and has been available to European vivarium enthusiasts for years. With its unique surface and texture, liana offers a truly exotic accent with no two pieces being the same. Liana wood is rather rare and the one used may be over 100 years old. This piece can be placed at an entrance of a home, a center piece in any luxurious living room or office.
