An elegantly designed elephant handbag beautifully crafted in nylon, and then gorgeously plated with Copper and 24K Gold gilding. The elephant has been dressed with colourful textile, a symbolism of being decorated for ‘Asian festivities’. The inside has been intricately lined with orange silk. Lotus Arts de Vivre provides an elegant strap that holds the bag in contemporary fashion. The decoration includes half palm 22K gold kundan work with Blue Sapphires, Tsavorites and Pearl.
Real 24K gold was applied to this elephant bag, not by electro - plating, but much thicker.
This is a beautiful design, which also Michael Jackson bought from LAdV for Elizabeth Taylor, a cuttly elephant with ample space inside. The textile is a rare Japanese antique K' ossu, add great value to the look.
The inspiration is primarily from the significance of Elephants in Thai Culture. Elephants are a traditional symbol of power and peace in Thailand, as well as a spiritual mentor for people of all walks of life. The elephant also symbolizes wisdom and loyalty and various other characteristics such as sensitivity, stability, intelligence and determination. Lotus Arts de Vivre embodies this belief in all our “elephant” designed products.
This piece was designed and finished by 9-10 craftsmen and designers involved at various stages, taking 2 months to complete.
