Lotus Arts de Vivre created this rooster with beautiful carved tropical hard wood in an organic ‘wave form’, decorated with Sterling Silver. The beak is decorated with 24K Gold Leaf, with the hackle and the comb of the rooster being red lacquered. With a Tiger’s eye set in the eyes of the rooster, the piece comes to its elegant life. The sculpture is set on a black granite stand.
The rooster is the pre-eminent symbol of strutting masculinity. For the Chinese, its original purpose was heralding the dawn, for others, it is a vigilant sentry – standing strong atop a weathervane, turning in all directions as it watches for evil during the night hours.
It took approximately 2.5 months to produce with over 7 craftsmen skillfully finishing this design.
